1. Dr. Sarat C. Praharaj
Dr. Praharaj is currently Vice President and Technical Director of a small Aerospace company called DMS Technology, Inc. DMS Technology, a woman-owned small business, located in the city of Huntsville, Alabama – also known as the Space Engineering City of America. He has been full time with this company for the last two years. His business base has long been with government sponsors including US Army, Missile Defense Agency, US Air Force, etc., and a few of the local Aerospace companies in the city of Huntsville, and almost all the large Aerospace companies including Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, BAE Systems, Teledyne Brown Engineering and Teledyne Solutions, Inc. located here and elsewhere in the country. Prior to joining DMS, Dr. Praharaj spent ten years at Teledyne Brown performing a myriad of activities and being in Management positions at various Strategic Business Units. He was Manager of Computational Fluids, Mechanical Analysis, and GN&C; lead in the International Space Station US Lab Systems Engineering in thermal and fluids subsystems; Director of CFD/Fluids program preceded by being a Senior Systems Engineer. Prior to joining Teledyne, he was head of the CFD/Fluids Department at REMTECH, Inc., then a small upcoming business in Huntsville. He started his career as a Member of Research Staff at Northrop Services in 1974 in Huntsville after graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
Currently, Dr. Praharaj performs his share of day-to-day operations at DMS Technology and generates technical work with the US Government and corporate sponsors.
2. Tusar Nanda
Tusar is currently a Senior Scientist. He has been with this company for the last 5 years. He is a computer science graduate with extensive experience in writing, analyzing and testing codes written in many modern languages including C, C++, Java, FORTRAN, Perl, Visual Basic, SQL, etc. He has extensive experience in using engineering software such as SINDA G, Dyna 3d, LS Dyna, GASP, LANMIN, BLIMP-K, SHABP, etc. for fluid dynamics, heat transfer, fluid response and drag calculations. Significant experience exists in generating new codes and integrating the same in large application software. His experience also includes verification, validation and testing of all kinds of software. He has significant database management systems experience including Oracle, MS Access, My SQL etc. He is proficient in various operating systems, Windows XP, Window 2000, Linux, UNIX etc. He has years of modeling experience in software like FEMAP, FemB etc. He is proficient in the use of software such as Genie++, MiniCAD etc. which are used for generating grids. Experience in all aspects and stages of the Software Lifecycle including business requirements and analysis, Functional Specifications, High Level Design, Detailed level design, Prototyping, Coding, Unit/System/Integration testing, and Handoff is definitely an asset.
3. Dr. Georges Nehmetallah
Dr. Nehmetallah is currently a Research Scientist. He has been with DMS for about one year. He started working for a DMS project when he was in graduate school in the University of Dayton. Upon graduation with a Ph.D in Optical engineering, he is the resident scientist in Dayton and is handling the research activities in the Optics area in association with the IDCAST group.
